What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading: Well Met by Jen DeLuca
This book is CUTE. I am only a few chapters in and I am such a sucker for those steamy, adult romcoms! I’ve already found myself laughing. It’s giving me Fix Her Up vibes with it’s character driven, spicy romance that I am a sucker for!

Recently finished: The Christmas Pact by Vi Keeland
This book was on my radar because again.. sucker for fast, cute romance! It was a free audible membership listen for December!  This was an enjoyable fast paced Christmas novella and is definitely an adult read in language and content! I really enjoyed the characters and I already miss them! This was perfect for my desire to read a little holiday book!

Reading Next: The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams
This book was sent to me by my friend Erin (IG: @story_hoarder). Her and I send each other books and ARCs to read and she said this one would be perfect for me! I am so excited to finish up Well Met to start on this one! Here is the synopsis from GoodReads!

The first rule of book club:
You don’t talk about book club.

Nashville Legends second baseman Gavin Scott’s marriage is in major league trouble. He’s recently discovered a humiliating secret: his wife Thea has always faked the Big O. When he loses his cool at the revelation, it’s the final straw on their already strained relationship. Thea asks for a divorce, and Gavin realizes he’s let his pride and fear get the better of him.

Welcome to the Bromance Book Club.

Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville’s top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titled Courting the Countess, the guys coach Gavin on saving his marriage. But it’ll take a lot more than flowery words and grand gestures for this hapless Romeo to find his inner hero and win back the trust of his wife.”

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday and get a lot of reading done!

Wild Wednesday – WWW!

Currently reading: Soulwalkers by Cassidy Thomas
This book is an urban fantasy set in New Orleans! Kia learns that she is a Soulwalker; she can see the past, present, future, hopes, wants, dreams, etc in a person’s soul… but that doesn’t mean anything is set in stone. I am about halfway through and I am enjoying it! I really like the setting as I love NOLA! We don’t have enough stories written in that place. I am already finding myself attached to some of the characters but I have a feeling the author is not going to give us much mercy! This hits the shelves December 3rd, 2019 and you can pre-order the Kindle edition right now for $1.99!

Recently finished: The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
The Wicked Deep is a story about three sisters who were drowned after being accused of being witches. The sisters posses the body of young women in the town and lure men to their death by drowning as revenge for what happened to them. This book has plot twists all over the place and it was perfectly witchy for October. I wrote about some of the problematic themes in my Tuesday post but other than that, I felt like it was a decent read! Solid 3.5!

Reading Next: The Tenth Girl by Sara Faring
I’ve been seeing this book around Bookstagram for a while now so I think it’s time for me to dig in.

Synopsis:
Simmering in Patagonian myth, The Tenth Girl is a gothic psychological thriller with a haunting twist.

At the very southern tip of South America looms an isolated finishing school. Legend has it that the land will curse those who settle there. But for Mavi—a bold Buenos Aires native fleeing the military regime that took her mother—it offers an escape to a new life as a young teacher to Argentina’s elite girls.

Mavi tries to embrace the strangeness of the imposing house—despite warnings not to roam at night, threats from an enigmatic young man, and rumors of mysterious Others. But one of Mavi’s ten students is missing, and when students and teachers alike begin to behave as if possessed, the forces haunting this unholy cliff will no longer be ignored.

One of these spirits holds a secret that could unravel Mavi’s existence. In order to survive she must solve a cosmic mystery—and then fight for her life

I hope everyone had a marvelous Wednesday! Tomorrow I’ll be talking about some of the upcoming releases I am excited for!

Wild Wednesday – Readathons

Do you participate in readathons? Right now I am hosting a House Cup Readathon (#housecupreadathon19) over on Instagram! Thankfully I have my head girls in charge of their houses! I could not do this without their help! It’s so amazing to  have a group of people I can rely on to help make things fun and exciting (and not so overwhelming)! Go over and follow these wonderful humans listed below on IG! I have a little something something coming in the mail for each of them! It’s not much but it’s what I could do (and afford) to show them my appreciation!

  1. Kelli – Gryffindor
  2. Ashleigh Kay – Slytherin
  3. Amanda – Ravenclaw
  4. Chelci – Hufflepuff

People are really catching onto these types of groups! We have 18 members per house and every 100 pages you read is 10 points! If you finish your book, it’s like catching the snitch and you get 150 points for your house! The houses are closed but we will open back up on the 15th for new members up to 25! I finished Savage Appetites yesterday so that earned my house 170 points! I also read a little of A Thousand Pieces of You! I’m going to start The Wicked Deep today once I get back from the pet store!

Yesterday I posted about my TBR and I already want to change it! LOL Anyone else like me? I swear I am the moodiest reader there is! I don’t get overwhelmed though because I have a fairly strict rule of only buying books I’ve already read and loved (making every book I see on my shelf something I adore). It helps me justify spending extra on limited edition copies. Speaking of special editions, I want that Illumicrate edition of The Starless Sea so bad that I might cry if I don’t get it.

Any special editions you’re waiting for? I will have to get the special edition of Clockwork Angel, I already know that! I’m also debating on the editions of SoC and CK! We shall see what my budget allows as we are redoing the hardwood in the nook/library!

Well, I think that’s enough rambling for me today, I hope y’all have a fantastic rest of your week!
